These black and white trees were made in a CPD teachers session for Hampshire Schools Art Teachers supported by Dryad Educational in 2019. I introduced teachers to a symmetrical way of making papercut trees using fadeless black display paper by showing them examples of the paper trees I make and then getting each person to work free style using the principles I was teaching. The main aim was to develop teachers’ skills in papercutting and in turn for them to deliver these papercutting workshops in their schools on their return. All the papercuts shown are either A3 or A4 and glued simply using a glue stick onto white cartridge paper.
